We are a nonprofit educational organization that represents Bahamian students and friends who would have attended and or graduated from Prairie View A & M University, and are a part of its National Alumni Association.
Prairie View A&M University is the second oldest public institution of higher learning in the state of Texas. It’s a historically black university that, since its inception in 1876 has opened its doors to any and every person inside and outside of Texas, seeking a first class, four year university experience.
The Bahamas – Prairie View Alumni Chapter is affiliated with the Prairie View A&M University National Alumni Association (NAA). There are more than 30 active chapters within the continental United States. The main purposes of chapters are to form unions with Prairie View A&M University alumni, ex-students and interested citizens of similar aspirations, for the perpetuation of Prairie View A&M University.
We are the first (1st) and only International Chapter of the association having been founded and chartered on September 5, 2020 with sixty one (61) charter members.
Members pay National Alumni Association dues of $60 and Chapter dues of $40 annually
